greeting card GIVEAWAY!

Saturday 19 August 2017

To celebrate the release of my very first greeting cards, I'm giving away a set of each type! The cards are being released by Nuovo and will be available in stores Australia-wide.

1.
The first is a set of pastel Australian animals (above). These measure 10 x 10cm and are perfect for gifts. There are six in the pack and they are blank inside so you can use for many types of celebration.

2.
The second (above) is a set of regular-size greeting cards (12.5 x 17.5cm) featuring boys from my book Australia Illustrated (EK Books). I've always thought it so difficult to find cards for boys that don't feature a footy, train or boat, and I think these cards cover so many types of boy--at least, I hope so! There are ten cards in this pack and they are blank inside, so you can write what you want. Each card has HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the front.

To win...
...just leave a comment below, telling me what kind of card I should create next. Theme? Design? Style? A gap in the market? Give me your thoughts! And be sure to add the number to your  comment--1 or 2--indicating which pack you'd like to win. If you don't mind which one, then put both 1 and 2!

Comp runs from today until 5pm Sunday 3 September. Anyone from anywhere in the world can enter so long as the cards can be posted to an AUSTRALIAN ADDRESS.

I will choose two winners and will announce them on this blog within 24 hours of comp closure, so please do check back to see if you've won. The last book comp I ran, one of the winners never got in touch with me, so do check back!

Good luck!

Hi Tania! I know you normally design for children, but how about some cards for the adult males in our lives eg. Dads/Grandads? I find the ones in the stores are all the standard wine & cricket designs. Some of the awesome males in my life don't drink and have many cool hobbies - I always have trouble selecting their cards! Your cards for the young boys are fabulous, I reckon you could do it for the big boys too! :)

Hi Tania
Congratulations on your launch of cards ♥️
Well I guess a set of girls' cards would be great with the magnificent females reflecting the theme 'Girls can do Anything!' (Science, Engineering, Technology, Sport as well as pick flowers!) Love both sets 1 and 2.

Pack Number 1 would be my pick please Tania. I truly believe a series of 'You are Special' cards. Cards that celebrate the everyday. Ones you can slip in a school bag, or on a work mates desk. Ones that celebrate people who are special in our lives for no particular reason other than we love them.

I love the boys set! As a mum of boys my heart goes out to mums of girls and the stereotypes that they have to fight. How about a birthday set for girls that isn't about princesses, fairies or bratz dolls?

These are such colourful fun Tania! I like 1 & 2 equally. The colors & style you use makes me think of cake...all sorts (& how much fun it would be to EAT those cakes)

Hey Tan,

So thrilled your cards are out!

Totally biased but I'd love to see a Canberra theme...perhaps Floriade, the Balloon Fiesta, seasons around Canberra, kids playing at Pod playground at the Arboretum, fun on the lake, Portrait gallery, CSO concert at Government House, foodie festivals....the options are endless.

Love both sets but being a boy mummy, set #2 would be perfect.

xx Em

They are lovely Tania...though set 1 is my favourite!
Now you have done a series of boys' sports...how about a series of girls's sports? Netball, hockey, footy, horseriding, tennis and cricket?

Christmas! It's my fav time of year and I love posting out Christmas cards to everyone I treasure. Congratulations on another gorgeous adventure xx bec (1 please)

Also - all of the above! I agree with active girl equivalent to your boys cards, good card options for Men that are t sport or alcohol related, and non-floral options for women (we're a demanding lot but there are definitely gaps in the market!!) xx bec

How about 10 different ways to read a book or fly a kite or sew a dog coat or ..... anything that is a bit counter-sexist - reading books for boys, flying kites (building kites for girls for example) You can read a book 'upside down' 'legs up wall' etc

A series of counter sexist cards for kids like :-

10 different ways to read a book (for boys)
10 different ways fo fly a kite for girls

- and so on

I'd love to see a range that features cultural diversity - it's a theme you have incorporated so beautifully in Australia Illustrated.

I am always on the lookout for cards that convey a celebration theme in a slightly abstract and gender neutral way that I can keep in my draw and whip out at moments when I don't have time to run to the shops. So cards that could work for any age/stage but convey happiness/celebration/fun/love. I love your card set #1

Would love to see a set of lots of different Aussie families celebrating together. As diverse as possible, but especially an indigenous family, a rainbow family, and a Muslim family! Love your work Tania!

Tania, these are absolutely gorgeous! And sloop you! What a fab idea to get your work out there too in the broader community.
I would love to see NEW BABY Welcome cards (naturally, haha), and new daddies cards doing lots of things for new bubs (humorous ones and serious ones), plus mummy cuddling ones too.
The ideas flow!!! 💛💚💙💜💗
